Keeping Steam Alive in the Scenic Oley Valley PA
Started in 2010 by Francis Kiedeisch, the Kiedeisch Backyard Railroad has been hosting rail events for friends and family in scenic Oley Valley PA. Fran Kiedeisch and his partially assembled American 4-4-0
The American was built in 2000 by Charles “Buffy” Cappel and lovingly restored by Fran between 2015-2020
Current Track
The 1800’ of track is 7-1/2” gauge with multiple expansion projects planned into the near future
Locomotives
Our fleet consists of an American 4-4-0 (pictured left) running on LP as well as a Ten Wheeler running on coal. There is a Consolidated engine currently under construction.

The K.B.R.R. fleet has a collection of seven pieces of rolling stock.
