It all started with and Idea and a single piece of Rolling Stock! Frans son Nick tells a story that goes something like this… “Growing up with a train loving father, I always played with the one piece of incomplete rolling stock in the basement. My dad once said that the day you move out is the day I break ground on my backyard railway. Low and behold in 2010 when I left for college was the day my father broke ground on the Kiedeisch Backyard Railroad”
Ever since 2010 Fran has worked tirelessly to restore the locomotives built by the late Charles Cappel. Over the years K.B.R.R. has restored engines, constructed 1800” of track, built multiple pieces of rolling stock and maintained a network of train loving enthusiasts!
